Candidate FAQs
What is the interview process timeline?
We aim to move things along as quickly as possible. We use automated scheduling software to gather candidates’ availability and match it to free time on interviewers’ calendars, which makes things efficient and (mostly) painless.
Our average time-to-offer is 20-30 days, depending on the role, but we may be able to accommodate tighter timelines. Let us know what you need, and we will do our best to make it happen!
Are you really 100% remote-first?
Yes! We have hubs—cities where a number of Signalites live—and we even have a dedicated coworking space in one of them (Yerevan, Armenia), but no one is made to work from an office if they don’t want to. We also provide reimbursement options for hot-desking, should an office-like setting be of interest to our Signalites.
How is salary determined?
We have a competitive, fair, and transparent compensation philosophy. We aim to pay employees towards the top of the local market range for their position and level. We conduct extensive market research and invest in external data vendors to help determine fair market value and appropriate location adjustment factors.
What is the work culture like?
Our incredible team of Signalites is collaborative, curious, and empathetic. As a remote-first organization, we don’t rely on chance run-ins or office grapevine to disseminate information–we are proactive and intentional about gathering and sharing context.
We prioritize getting things done over getting hierarchical sign-off, and we encourage well-informed decision-makers of every level to make the right call in their area of expertise. Working autonomously carries significant responsibility. It means we all do what’s best for the company, and we trust our colleagues to do the same.
What countries are you hiring in?
We are currently able to hire full-time employees in 80+ countries. We have CodeSignal business entities established in Armenia, Switzerland, and the United States. Outside of these regions, we use Deel as our Employer of Record. Some departments are heavily dependent on live collaboration and require significant overlap in working hours among team members, so not every role is open to every location.
