Upskilling for the future: CodeSignal offers free generative AI courses with AWS

Across every industry today, the demand for AI skills is skyrocketing. According to recent research by Lightcast, job postings mentioning generative AI in non-technical roles have jumped 800% since 2022. To meet this critical need for AI skills and empower the next generation of talent, we at CodeSignal are thrilled to announce the launch of a new generative AI training program developed in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS).

This exciting initiative will provide no-cost access to cutting-edge generative AI education to AWS Skills to Jobs Tech Alliance members, including over 30,000 students and 1,000 faculty globally, as well as to millions of learners through CodeSignal Learn

Learning AI by doing

Our experiential learning curriculum kicks off with Prompting for Everyone with Amazon Bedrock Models, a learning path designed to equip learners with foundational knowledge in Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and practical AI automation. Future learning paths developed in collaboration with AWS will focus on enterprise AI using Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock, and Amazon Q to ensure the program keeps pace with today’s evolving dynamic AI landscape.

What sets learning on CodeSignal apart

Unlike traditional passive video content, CodeSignal Learn transforms generative AI education into immersive, hands-on experiences.

  • Learners engage with real AWS tools to tackle real-world problems and build skills that directly translate to the workplace.
  • Cosmo, our built-in AI assistant, offers immediate, personalized feedback to learners to help them get unstuck and master key skills.
  • Our users complete an average of 39 practices per learner—three to five times higher than standard online learning benchmarks.

“The fastest way to learn is by doing—and that’s exactly what these paths deliver. Learners are using real AWS tools, solving real problems, and building skills that translate directly to the workplace.”

Stephanie Durand, VP of Strategic Partnerships at CodeSignal

Creating equitable access to AI education

At CodeSignal, our dedication to accessible education extends beyond this new program. As a 2025 AWS Education Equity Initiative (EEI) awardee, we are leveraging AWS credits to expand access to learners in underserved regions, including Colombia, Brazil, and Thailand. This aligns with AWS’s vision of fostering an inclusive AI workforce through equitable learning opportunities.

“At AWS, we recognize that building an inclusive AI workforce starts with equitable learning opportunities. CodeSignal’s innovative hands-on learning about Amazon Q and SageMaker will deliver valuable generative AI education to learners from around the world, building more equitable career pathways into the AI industry.”

Aanya Niaz, Global Impact Leader of AWS’s Education Equity Initiative

This collaborative effort between AWS and CodeSignal sets a new standard for AI education, providing application-driven experiences that directly mirror the demands of modern AI development. We believe this initiative will empower countless individuals to thrive in the AI-driven workforce and contribute to a more skilled and equitable future.
